Mayor to Host Listening 2 Lakewood on Twitter | Community Spirit

LAKEWOOD, OH - In a new, innovative twist to the Mayor’s Listening 2 Lakewood, Mayor Mike Summers will be hosting his August Listening 2 Lakewood through his Twitter account, @LakewoodMayor. On Tuesday August 21st, residents can communicate with the Mayor via Twitter from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  The Mayor will be live on the site answering questions.  This is an opportunity for residents to discuss Lakewood and share their thoughts with the Mayor.

“Connecting to our citizens regarding any subject of concern or interest is vital to the performance of my job,” stated Mayor Summers. “Generation Xer’s and Millennials comprise 35% of our population. This group stays connected in different ways from traditional government avenues. I am reaching out on Twitter to this important segment of our population to let them know local government is interested in what is on their minds and we need their ideas and input.”                   

Residents can participate in this Twitter forum by following Mayor Summers on Twitter @LakewoodMayor or following the City of Lakewood @LakewoodOhio and submitting questions on August 21 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
